Anyway, remember that Rebecca reluctantly partnered with Billy in Zero; neither Chris nor Jill returned in 2 (or Barry or Becca), ma🔴king both Leon and Claire new (as well as their sidekicks Ada and Sherry); Jill with newcomer Carlos in 3; Claire partnered with newcomer one-and-done Steve in CVX; Leon teamed up with Luis and Ashley in RE4 (both one-and-dones); Chris with Sheva A𝓡lomar in 5; Piers, Wesker's kid, and Helena were new and solely featured in 6; Revelations had a bunch of playable/featured one-shot newcomers, while Rev 2 had Barry's daughter in her first (and only?) appearance, along with the kid (yikes, that ending); 7 had Mia playable for a brief bit and Ethan himself was brand new. Every spin-off game either features new characters or has them tag alongside mainstays, as well.

The series basically always has a fresh face.

Huh? People don't get tired waiting around for reveals for something that has been speculated and leaked for YEARS. They certainly don't rely on [intentional] leaks bc those don't often reveal much in the way of granular, contextual, truthful details -- especially the further out. And once Nintendo officially announced the S2 back in the wintry beginning of this year, followed by regular speculation on the Direct date, you lot had enough to tide you over until the actual Direct. It's also not like you're sitting around twiddling your thumbs wi🎃th regards to gaming or Nintendo products.

Um, the idea is for platform proprietors to communicate major impactful events that suddenly affect smaller parties like those listed here. All of the legalese in partnership contracts that say something to the effect "we reserve the right to terminate our services at any time and we o🐼we you no explanation when we do so" absolutely need to be redꦆressed.
