Jason I disagree with you being a glorified questgiver in Oblivion. I've never played a game where a questgiver charges in, tells you there's a big worldwide crisis, and then tells you, the protagonist, to sit in a room and read a book while they go off and solve the c🎶risis 90% of the way singlehandedꦉly.

I ♊m🍒ean, the Fighter's Guild is just kinda boring and doesn't have great benefits.

Basically anything you might enjoy from the Fighter's Guild, another faction is better for. Whether it's making early gold, finding trainers, being more accessible, just having better storylines and characters, etc. Heck, even the arena questline gives you a more punchable character th🃏at you get to punch to your heart's content later on than the fighter's guild does.

And as for the main questline, I'd recommend just kinda never finishing it 🧔unless you're ready to retire your playthrough. Finishing the main questline cuts off your access to a lot of the best items and challenges in the game, and gives you a whole one suit ๊of armor in return. Not worth it.

Lastly, in terms of the main questline...at the end of it, 𓃲you lose access to most of the best rewards and🐬 challenges in the game, and in exchange you basically get a suit of armor. Ooh.

Don't see why you would ever want 🍃to complete the main questline, unless you're ready to pretty much retire𒁃 that playthrough.
