Jason I disagree with you being a glorified questgiver in Oblivion. I've never played a game where a questgiver charges in, tells you there's a big worldwide crisis,ꩵ and then tells you, the protagonist, to sit in a room and read a book while they go off and solve the crisis 90% of the way singlehandedly.

I mean, the Fighter's Guild is just kinda boring and𒁃 doesn't have great benefits.

Basically anything you might enjoy from the Fighter's Guild, another faction is better𒐪 for. Whether it's making early gold, finding trainers, being more accessible, just having better storylines and characters, etc. Heck, even the arena questline gives you a more punchable character that you get to punch to your heart's content later on than the fighter's guild does.

And as for the main questline, I'd recommend just kinda never finishing it unless you're ready to retire your playthrough. Finishing the main questline cuts off your access to a lot o🍷f the best items and challenges in the game, and gives you a whole one suit of armor in return. Not worth it.

Lastly, in terms of the main questlineꦉ...at the end of it, you lose access to most of the best rewards and challenges in the game, and in exchange you basically get a suit of armor. Ooh.

Don't see why you would ever want to complete the main questline, unless you're ready to pretty much retire that playthr𝕴ough.

"capturing them is usually not as beneficial, since they are not as useful as Pals." Sorry, but that's just plain incorrect. If you capture them, you get the capture rewards, and then you can f💖eed them into a disassembler to get the rewards again.
