I think I must be a Bioware contrarian. I finished my first playthrough one morning and started my🍸 second playthrough that evening, and I've been having a great time. I chose a different faction and I've made concerted efforts to make different decisions than last time. I also really love Rook--they're an actual character with nuanced responses as opposed to the stereotypical noble, sarcastic, aggressive ones. I didn't go into the game expecting it to be the exact same as it was fifteen years ago, so I think I'm having more fun than people who hoped it would be more like Origins. Whatever the reason, I'll definitely be replaying it again, and probably still having a blast.

I'm rarely on the side of anyone who claims there's only one right way to play a game. If a mod makes a game more accessible or enjoyable for a player, great. There are also times when games literally need mods to work--I wanted to replay Dragon Age Inquis🍎ition before Veilguard came out, and y𝔉ou literally need a mod to make the DLC function. Games are supposed to be fun, so if you find it fun to use mods, cool, and if you don't, also cool.

I only played Baldu▨r's Gate 3 from January-May. Finish a balance run? Start on tactical. Finished as a bard Tav? Time to play monk/rogue Astarion. I finally stopped when I was on an Honour run and accidentally killed Minsc. Once you see a giant miniature space hamster mourning over the corpse of hi꧒s platonic soulmate, you know it's time to touch grass.
