Kind of an epic fail that probably the best Metroidvania game to come out since Castlevania: Symphony of th𒊎e Night (the first metroidvania game) is not even mentioned. Bloodstained: Ritual of the nightܫ was developed by Japenese indie studio ArtPlay and is a very well crafted homage to CSotN. Smooth controls, well designed enemies, tons of secrets, weapons and armor to find and the crystal shard system to add dozens of abilities that can tailor your experience make it a worthwhile successor to the original.
