Not So Magical: If You Use These Dungeons & Dragons Spells, You've Made A Mistake
There are a few here that should probably have🥃 an asterisk:
True ♏Strike has several use cases, but the most obvious one for me is that it's the only way most people with wizard spellcasting will have to deal radiant damage, which can have some clutch utility in certain fights.
Thorn Whip's ability to move enemies is actually quite useful if the table uses more tactical aspects of the game. Any enemy hit can be pulled out of cover if they are using it, you can pull enemies into the range of a fighter with Sentinel, and several magical effects that create terrain which hinders movement are on the Druid spell list. 10 ft of forced movement can cripp🧸le an enemy in the right situation, and not many spells can do that.
Magic Weapon is a complete misread though. It drops drastically in usefulness at higher levels when players have ready access to magic weapons, but the spell can be used as early as levဣel 3, before many campaigns have magic weapons available. It only takes a bonus action to cast so it can be used to buff the fighter in the same round as using a Fire Bolt for damage. It lasts for an hour, so it can be realistically used for several fights if cast prior to entering a dangerous area. And many enemies havꦓe resistance or immunity to weapons that aren't magical. There is a distinct period of low level play where Magic Weapon is a crucial part of the party's arsenal, unless the GM is giving everyone a magic Weapon before level 3. Monty Hall GMs ruin everything.

Hard disagr🎶ee on Persona 3 being number 1. It has a very strong final act, but the placing up to that point is an absolute dumpster fire. It takes between 50-80 hours until you get to all the parts people think are the good bits of the 𒅌story. Persona 3 Reload did a lot to fill in the early game, but the original had some serious issues.
Final Fantasy Creator Says Game꧟s Need To Be Politica🍸l
I think that's a misread of how the criticisms are made. The difference nowadays is that people were able to play games that were earnestly in favor of a particular political stance and could enjoy the game even if they disagreed with the message or stance. The same people that would complain about the blatant anti-imperialist messaging in some games depicting war, which are usually a sendup of US policy in particular, have zero issues with the pro-American propaganda pieces that are virtually every American made game depicting the US military. Those that have an issue with depictions of explicit issues with race relations seldom take issue with games that straight up have a particular race/ethnicity for the antඣagonists. It's a matter of what they're comfortable with, and the internet has told many people who otherwise wouldn't care that they need to have an opinion, and it needs to be negative.
