Against all 'modern remake' odds, I feel Bloober have proven they can do remakes right, but I would still be wary of them going out on their own with the SH IP. Given their success with SH2, I think they should definitely be given the keys to remake any and all of the other Team Silent SH games, because having another studio or studios do them will seem jarring now. I can totally see those games benefiting from such a sensitive reimagining. The first four games are what they are and different people like each for their own reasons - the same will hold true for any rema💞kes.

Playing the original trilogy was an amazing experience that elevated STALKER to top tier for me. I remember well the first few hours of the first game, being punished over and over as I came to grips with the Zone and it's inhabitants. Little by little, I clawed my way forward and changed my tactics, m🏅arv🔯elling at the feel of this utterly unique experience. So many memorable moments created by the interplay between various systems running loose in the environment. But then always that feeling of being small and alone in the vast and eerie desolation. Can't wait to return and gratefully receive many more beatings. (And yeah, that comparison to Souls is quite appropriate!)

Goddammit man... And here I was thinking maybe 2024 will be the year I finally, FINALLY sit down and play FFVII after missing it the first time round back in the day (I played the first t🍬hree and then VIII). Somehow I've got this far never hearing anything about a shock death...until today. Now I'm forced to wait 🌠at least a year or so before I naturally forget I ever read this article or why I am STILL postponing playing FFVII... Sigh...
