I also hate the autoscaling. If everything else levels up as you do, y꧙ou can never see how far yoꦜu've progressed. You need easy and hard scattered throughout the world so you can explore like a sandbox and feel accomplished when you can tackle hard areas that were too tough a few levels ago. I had a mod that fixed it in 2006 but I don't want to go through all the trouble to figure it out again in 2025.
