It'll depend entirely if the online requirement is forced. I mean, it's pretty silly to have an online-only game on a portable console that may or may not have internet access. And if online multiplayer is forced it's gonna upset everyone who pl🍌ays single player only.

From their press release: "Developed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2; 'THE DUSKBLOODS' is a PvPvE title with online multiplayer at♑ its core, ༺where up to 8 players vie for supremacy among themselves and against challenging foes." They're already saying it's gonna be different. Bloodborne is co-op multiplayer. This is going to be PvP while also being PvE. It's not co-op multiplayer.

"If done correctly"🙈 means what they've done before, which is a primarily single player game with some optional co-op multiplayer. Nothing released so far suggests this is the direction they're going.
