If it's gonna be like VII with alternate/divergent timeline nonsense and immersion breaking references to phantom fate lords or whatever, then pass. I understand adding new side content, additional dialouge, modernizing the graphics and environments, voice acting, etc. Even update the battle system and mechanics to be a bit more active or fast (although maybe keep a retro mode option). That's hardly "making the same gam🀅e over." But if the story is altered in any way,🐼 it will absolutely devastate the experience in playing it, that's how I felt playing VII remake. The changes were distracting and immersion breaking.

Golden Kamuy is excellent, but the first time watcher editor be warned there are some really weird things in it that are played for laughs. Lots of very questionable bod𝔉y humor. Just so y'all are mentally prepared to be scarred for life.
