This is really the same concern I'm having. I'm puzzled by these decisions. Is the developer really thinking that this approach will be more successful? By this point DW is a series that fans love for what it offered in parts 2-8. Nobody wanted an open world in 9, nobody wants a small roster. Players want a large roster, a lot of individual weapons for different playstyles and something t🧔o grind for. Add a campaign mode for Wei, Shu, Wu, Jin and others plus free mode accompanied by modern graphics? Is it that hard to know your audience?

Yes, I'm excited. DW9 was an experiment that failed and even if this is just another typical DW, wenn hadn't one of those for ♏quite a whiꦕle.

I just hope that we're not just stuck with the new charakter. As long as we get to play, level and h🅠unt for weapons with a sizeable roster, that's all I really want.
