Honestly, who cares? Elder Scrolls has such weak stories they may as well be nonexistent. So restarting doesnt really mean a whole lot. It'd be different if you had to watch a bunch of cut scenes and plot development to get back to where you were. But Obliv🃏ion has all of 5 minutes worth of a story so all you have to do is start a new character, which is the fun part.

I personally don't save scum. If I have too much premeditated control of the outcome in narrative heavy games (especially with games like BG3 or Oblivion where it completely dictates the progression of the story), it starts to feel like I'm playing make believe w🍸ith toys instead of a game. I personally enjoy when things go bad sometimes. It makes consequences feel real instead of reloading the conversation 12 times to get the best results. But I also don💫't insult anyone who DOES play that way. People should enjoy their games how they want as they bought them.

I k⛦ind of feel like anyone who thinks of BG3 as a dating simulator before anything else is playing the game wrong. Romance can enhance the narrative of the story, sure, but it hella isn't enough to play through this 100 hour behemoth of a masterpiece.

D𒐪ragon Age Veilguard was just very poorly written. The characters and✤ the story were both so underwhelming. And it did, as you said, feel extremely linear. I enjoyed the combat! That's about it though.

"People picked Neve and Lu🤡canis! How boring! I instead chose the most annoying character in the game, who although the♍y're a dragon slayer, has nothing to talk about other than their gender. Aren't I special?" Lol

But yeah, the choices in this game are extreꦯmely shallow. The writing is eve♚n worse. The combat is a blast for a couple hours but then gets repetitive. I'd give Dragon Age Veilguard a solid 3 out of 10.
