The game is awf﷽ul and I'm putting it as kindly as possible.

They butchered the entire theme of a Dragon Age game. Even newcomers who played DA origins and Dragon Age 2 note that it's a dark themed fantasy game where your choices in g🌸ame have serious consequences within not only your party but the world.

It wasn't focused on characters romance preferences or what their pronouns were. The game was centered around strife going around the hero and the the team. Like through DA origins human noble route you, a cousland, just witnessed your family get slaughtered by another noble family who had been friends with the couslands for years. Only to be betryed the night of their arrival to help bolster the numbers for the army fighting the darkspawn horde. Leaving the hero alone and seeking to inform the eldest brother of the tragedy. Only to find out that the eldest brother was sent to the Frontline to fight the rising darkspawn threat in which the player was told, by the current king of ferelden, to ret🍷urn after the ensuing battle and then they would escorted to their brother to share the news. It never comes about as Logain, the army's tac💟tician, betrays the king and pulls his men out of the fight at the most pivotal moment leading to a bloodbath. All because he wanted to be hailed a hero once more since his last battle with a neighboring continent.

That's just from the humans backstory and the rest of the races each have uniqe and equally dark stories and the story there on only gets darker and rev🦹eals a massi🍷ve corruption within the world of ferelden aside from the looming Darkspawn threat.

Veilguard.....falls on its face in comparison. The lore doesn't hold up and the races whose lore was well established before then has been altered horribly to make the games plot work and it hurts they ruined this line of games for gender ideology and as a way to 'get back at presid🎃ent trump'. You are suppose to make games to entertain and help players escape the real world.
