You have a warped misunderstanding of economics. For consumer goods like this, adjusting by median Purchasing power parity makes the most sense. As it represents what the🔥 median consumer is able to buy.
With that, these consoles and games are still a good fair price♕
One of the reasons gaming hasn't experienced price inflation as much over the decades until the la🌠st 5-10 years is because they were selling into a growing market. Particularly for software, development costs went up, but so did unit sales, so the game price stayed the same. Now that unit sales have started to flatten, and development costs always rising (just from wages, let alone more hours needed for the next big game). Games necessarily become more expensive.
Now it's easier than ever to break into th💛e indie scene, and those games are cheap with low dev costs
