Japanese Historian Says There Is "No Doubt" That Assassin's Creed Shadows' Yasuke Was A Samurai
See people are fo༺cusing on the wrong thing. It doesn't even have to get to this credibility nonsense of whether Yasuke was a samurai or not. This goes deeper beyond that starting from why did they choose an Asian representation game specifically when it comes to an Asian male that they suddenly feel like they need to undermine them and represent another ethnic group when they DID NOT do that with all the other Assassin's creed title? Are you saꩵying Yasuke is the only and best individual to represent Japan and it's culture? Hell no, and us Asian people especially know this is common in the western entertainment industry. When it comes to representing Asians especially Asian men we are easily dismissed. This is the deeply rooted problem with this choice, not what some privileged non-asian person who has a specific agenda or feels some type of way because they have personal insecurities or just want/assume this will make society like them for this "creative" choice. Nah it doesnt even have get deep into the historical accuracy of Yasuke, it simply started with the ignorant thought of, let's utilize this specific title to replace a miniority group because I feel like this other group is more important to represent.
