It's honestly just an iteration. It feels like moving from the original Game Boy to the Game Boy Color. Yeah, like... it can make things look better and all but overall it's more of the same. I don't think there's anything wrong with Nintendo ditching its reliance on new gimmicks but Switch 2 doesn't have much of an identity of its own. Mario Kart World looks nice and all, but does it look like a massive step forward from 8? Not really. We're getting Metroid Prime 4? Okay. Does it seem good? Sure. Revolutionary? Not really. We're used to Nintendo wowing us with imagination and innovation. Instead we're getting more of the same but, idk, wit൲h ray tracing this time? Okay, I guess, but I don't need it yet, if I ever will.
