See All"Total Incompetence": The Upcoming Current-Gen Only Digimon Game Won't Support 60fps
"It represents a rather major blow for those on console, particularly as the game has been set for a current-gen-only ꦓrelease, meaning there is no PlayStation 4 or Xbox One to figuratively "hold" things back."
This makes no sense. A cross gen release *increases* the chances of a game having 60fps mode on current gen consoles, not reduces it. This is because the game design resource targets are lowered to accommodate those consoles. "Holding things back" of cross gen usually refer to graphics quality not framerate. It's possible of course to have 60fps on a current gen release but the design target must be set early in development to ensure the game🌌 design does not overwhelm the hardware.
While I'm disappointed as well, it really depends on areas of the game. Large areas tends to be very CPU heavy if a lot of simulation is going on and CPUs tend to be the big weakpoints of the consoles (even the PS5 Pro's CPU is only slightly clꦫocked higher than base PS5). And I would rather devs target games on consoles to be able to have a 60fps mode. Still whether it's reasonable or not, have to wait till release and see the game design in heavy areas.

8 Double-A JRPGs That Are Actual🃏ly Better Than Some Of The Biggest Triple-A JRPGs
Playing through Last Defense Academy right now. Having such a great time with it. A shame it's mostly overshadowed by Clair Obscur right now (which do🐼n't get me wrong, deserves a lot of recognitions as well). I hope it will do well enough to have more similar installments🥀 in the future.
In The Switch 2 Era, Publisher Get To Claim A W Just For P♉utting Games On Cartridges
Nintendo only has the 64GB cartridges in stock and the the new Switch 2 cartridges are very expensive co🧸s of the fast storage. Why is there only 64GB option? Who knows. Hoping th💃is will change and smaller and cheaper versions will be available.
I will say this, game key cards are still preferable to digital download codes because they don't tie to a single account and the license can be boughtಌ and sold. More and more publishers are putting retail copies just as a code, Nintendo's option at least allow you to trade it.
Mic𒐪rosoft Has Destroyed The Value Of ♈The Xbox Series S
Cost of components (and hell everything really) are going up everywhere, while🅺 the stupidly high 145% US tariffs from China means they have to recover their costs from somewhere. The US price increase ain't anywhere enough to cover that, hence the price increase everywhere. The Series S prior price was before the great inflation of 2022 due to so much cash printing in a low output economy during the pandemic.
You can see gamers complaining about prices everywhere: PS5 Pro, Switch 2, graphics cards, etc. The truth of the matter is the world has seen a huge inflation of prices since the generation debuted at the end of 2020. It was unrealistic not to expect it to come to co😼nsoles and game prices. The mentality of "prices going down/staying low" was true in a low inflation environment of the last 40 years before 2022 but not a spike of inflation.
And with the T🐟rump tariffs now just hitting, get ready for even worse infla✃tion if you're in the US.
Former PlayStation Dev Asks "Why Should IP Crea💫tor🍷s Keep Working For You?" After Lack Of Credit On Until Dawn Movie
Sony is right. They are salaried employees, anything they create is owned by Sony, that's the whole point of being salaried. And why should the entire dev team be credited with an adaptation. It's especially stupid in Until Dawn's case because the movie bears little resemblance to the game. Feels like she just wants to create a selfish point but used the worst ♎adaptation IP to make it.
Hopefully she won't work in the industry again, given how much trouble she seems to be. Maybe she should go form her own company and pay herself then rath💛er than leeching off others and expecting everything.
