I Hate Not Beꩵing Able To Yap In Dragon Age: The Veilguard
I don’t agree with this take. I was playing bg3 for a month leading up to this release and one of my complaints of that game is how quickly you can exhaust all the dialogue this way meaning you burn through all the small talk in the first act and then they just do reactionary junk later in the game. It’s a pattern of new plot development time to go to camp and get a reaction, it wasn’t particularly engaging 🌳either because all reactions happened independently. In veilguard the pacing is much better. Relationships aren’t instant they take time to get development, and I’m not bored of them by the first camp visit because they space out the content thoughtfully and you get to engage with them on companion quests.
this was a breath of fresh air where I didn’t have to be constantly “oh I better g💮o talk to love interest or ♎I’ll miss something” they made it clear when there was something to do and I dont feel cheapened or dialogue fatigued by burning it all in one sitting.
