I don't need Zelda actually speaking in this game. We hear Zelda talking on other games when she is telling stories of things we weren't really apart of, giving us valuable backstory. In Echoes, we are along for the ride with Zelda,ꩲ so when someone asks her a question and they pantomime her response quickly and we move on, I prefer that to having to sit there while she explains everything we just did in the game. We don't need that, we💟 already know.
Plus with all the creativity involved in this game, it feels safe to say that no two players completed something in the exact same way, so how to handle that as dialog? Pick one method and decide that's canon no matter what the player actually did? Gloss over all the details, in wh📖ich case whꦉy bother have her answer at all? So I think Nintendo handled it right, as a gamer, I can fill in what she's saying with my own particular head canon from what I actually did in game.
