Games are not power fantasies. It’s like saying movies or books are power fantasies. Sure a game typically has an endings or some sort of outcome that often gets likened to wining. But what sort of power fantasy is let’s say Silent Hill 2? And what do you win in that game? Or Animal Crossing, is that a power fa♋ntasy? I think feeling powerful after beating a game is more a description of the player rather than defining feature of any game.
