I think dwarf is the most impactful, spoiler alert for anyone reading that hasn’t play DA from beginning and/or not atleast 1/3 of the way through VG… but as a dwarf the game from day one has been about the blight/darkspawn and racially your people are impacted the most based on that angle… entire empires/kingdoms lost to the ages, those that remain are fragmented and constantly pushing back against hordes of darkspawn; now add into the fact they can’tꦯ dream or use magic and thus are the most physically limited in their means of survival and quality of life we then learn HOW they are restricted/different; everyone loves the elves but how can you reconcile the fact that the elves perpetuated a literal genocide against the titans and in doing so permanently cut off an entire race from any form of magic or restful slumber… so to play as a dwarf to me gives the story the most impact upon your resolve and desire to beat the story in my opi✨nion

not to mention in all of fantasy dwarves are second class citizens and lesser beings however are always great innovators, ferocious warriors, and impeccable craftsmen… I’d take that all 🔜do over victim hood mentality elvish races have in all fantasy as well as fragile privile🀅ge and entitlement they are always cast as
