Ironically, although I like Veilguard more than Inquisition insofar as the actually mechanics of the game are concerned, it feels less of a dragon age game to me. This is especially true because of how much of the roleplay was dialed down. Another detail that could have been helped by using the Inquisitor as an already established character. Don't get me wrong I think Rook has personality. Their backstory is lacking though. Their decision making is limited. Maybe these flaws would've been less important with an already established character who has a backstor✱y established and has already made heeps of important decisions. Either way though, it almost feels like playing Dragon Age fanfiction if that makes any sense. Not bad per say, but out of place.
