I completely agree. It's different when it's an Online wide Multiplayer game like Call of Duty or Fortnite. But Assassin's Creed? That's just low in my book. And yes I am one of those players who is angered by this. I don't want to purchase a game at full price only to finܫd multiple pay walls and micro transactions in it.
