While I respect your opinion, I completely disagree with it. I play Bioware games because the universe is crafted by you the player. This is what made Bioware special. Losing this aspect to me basically says it's just like any other RPG out there. What's the incentive to play it then especially at the $70+ price point? Instead, since it's now like any other RPG out there, I will just wait until it goes on sale. I have been waiting for this game for years, I ignored all the other critisims to this point and even hyped it to others. What did I say to those others? Exactly what I just wrote. This is a series where you crafted the story. That character on the screen I've been watching her story through 3 games, numerous dlcs and extra media. But that character is no longer the one I crafted. The one that was best friends with the hof and wanted to keep her alive so did this crazy ritual that wound up being a child. A child I saw in Inquisition. That personality I created is no longer the character I watched. It is someone elses vision now. I'd rather retain the magic of the old games, the replayability. This isnt what ▨those loyal fans that engrossed ourselves with the lore of this series wanted and it seems that wasn't important so it then isn't important that I buy it.
