GamersPlayGrounD / LiQuiD you are aware that Rook has four different voice🐽 actors for every pitch and tone, right? And I've personally never seen a voice slider in a video game have more than generic ♔groaning/huffing/etc sound effects. It takes a voice actor to give emotionally charged dialogue throughout the entire span of an RPG. I never said anything about restricting gender options, I only stated I'd rather have less VA options and more dialogue options, as is the case in mass effect.

This!! I mostly blame the fact that there are 4 voice options for Rook, and to give fully voiced conversation trees w𒅌ould've been uncomprehensively expensive. Though personally, I would've taken less customizing options any day if it meant being able to chat with my companions. Either cut corners and just give me either a generic feminine or masculine voice, or make the extra dialogue unvoiced by Rook! I feel like so many gamers would be okay with that missing piece if it meant more fleshed out writing
