You didn't really mention the multiple games in recent memory which got too political, spurring some viral negative PR and severely damaging their sales. If a game is going to get political it must be done intelligently and with subtlety. The danger in introducing politics into games is you could easily wind up imposing onto your fanbase your own shallow biases and worldview, which in any case large chunks of them are probably goingဣ to resent... in general poli🏅tics is more divisive than it is unifying, I think there is a higher likelihood of you doing more harm than good with this sort of thing.

I think it can enrich the game if done well, but if done out of some personal need to make a politi♒cal statement it is essentially jeopardizing the company interests and compromising the game design itself out of some ulterior personal motive, and really should not be tolerated by the company.
