Because it🐬 sounds like you don't and have no clue.
Thac0 𓃲was a 2﷽0 point shift downward, 3e changed it upwards.
Everyone used the zero🥂 to neg 10ও rule of unconscious and lose a point to neg 10 and death.
Weapon speed is more then weight, 🎶it's size vs length and, or massಌ.
Small is faster, short sword always is faster then a 💝poll arm.
System shock most cases required multiple rolls🎉 before death, optional rules used.
Unconscious, > zero hp > death.
Thats the risk of over stressing yourself.
Level loss sucked but restoration was a standard higher level spell and o🏅ptional rules like ss or death save to avoid perm loss was the option and🔯 eventually led to 3+ negative level rules.
I used to dm ꦿgames for the rpga for ꩵyears at the end of the 90's including at Gen con.

Had a reverse gravity spell running to quickly excavat a collapsed building, w☂e got ambushed by a few mind flayers, they moved into its effect but there magic resistance made them immune to my spell.
I canceled the sওpell and dumped the buildꦗing on them.
Splat.
Siege warfare with magic is fun, have the archers fire a lot of arrows, then triple the amount with a first level illusion spelಌl a few seconds later, they have zero reason to not think they are not real
