The MP being tight is part of the design. It is the 𝔉same in the Persona Games.

With the time management element, you need to make sure you are ready for a long dungeon, by either having enough recovery (MP and HP) or being very shrewd with your tactics in battle, because your goal𒀰 is to not have to come back and waste a full day where you could be progressing your social skills(virtues), or a companion quest.

It 🍌brings a sense of urgency to your decision making:

🅷Do you want to risk 💃doing the dungeon now? Or wait until you get a few more items?

Do you want to waste MP on this 🐲Mob and risk not having enough for the boss? Do you avoid the fight to save resources and risk being underleveled for the ꧅Boss?

I like that it's not just mindless grinding, you need to weight tꦓhe pros and cons of your next step.
