I do find it crazy that they couldn't do anything for you similar story I purchased For Honor directly from Ubisoft but later I wanted it tied to my steam account I posed the question if I purchased a copy via the steam store would they be able to link the steam copy to my ubisoft account (which already had a copy of For Honor) and they had no problems unlinking my copy and transferring it to a new account (so I infact do h🍸ave 2 ubisoft accounts) and my profile data was the same when I logg♋ed in. But an example of how games aren't permanent I own The Crew ( which I got when AC Unity had so much problems for free as a sorry) they since shut the servers down,so now I have dead weight. Now I spread my collection across EGS, GOG and Steam because I don't want to be stuck with another Xfire.
