St🃏ar Citizen Is Nearing A Billion Dollars In Crowdfunding, Stillꦓ Not Out Yet
Do not believe anything being said about Star Citizen/ Squadron 42 and neither should you. The game engine by the time of release will be almost 20 years old. It's been feature complete for over 2 years already, and CIG has said it 🍬will be another 2 years before release in 2026. Starting in 2016 , "Answer the Call" CIG has been sayin🌟g 2 more years every 2 years there are literal memes about this. A feature complete game will take 4 years, from feature complete to get out the door, wow. And I'd wager that CIG misses their 2026 release date for S42
After🉐 13 years of development CIG has done a 180 on almost everything, they sold old backers on. And when purchase a pledge you accept a EULA, TOS, and Disclaimer letting🗹 you know any and everything can change.
Let's all just realize CIG can't get elevators to work even with making them magic Wonka boxes. (Anꦡother thing CIG did 180 on, we were told elevators would be physicalized and actually operate like real elevators, nope.) I don't have much faith they can develop this intricate game world they claim they are. And I have 13 years of failed patches, missed deadlines and forgotten development branches and whatever is slow to snail, is the༺ speed of development from CIG.
So literally Star Citizen said they were developing certain gameplay loops and said other would never happen, looking at you crafting. People pledged hundreds of millions expecting CIG to develop the game they were telling everꦡyone they were developing. CIG will be failing to reach the very basics of their Kickstarter goals, and some would argue they are falling far short of Kickstarter funding goals. And this is where I think backers have a chance at legal recourse for CIG saying one thing and then doing a complete 180 of what was sold. How is this legal to begin with? A simply TOS? I can sneak into house contract that I have final say on house design and I can change it whenever means I can tell you I am building one thing and not do it!
