The article is arguing that both the Wii and the Switch effectively found a way to "oversell" due to a combination of product and market conditions unique to that time, and that while the switch 2 will sell amazingly well and naturally bring some of it's installed base over to it, it is unlike💞ly to sell AS well as Switch 1 for those reasons listed in the article, unless it does so very late in it's life when there might be enough unique software pull the residual owners who aren't driven by slightly more powerful hardware or a shinier screen
