Oooh do I feel this. I'll probably sound both old and chronically online, but social media really killed the simple joy of discovery and creativity in games like ACNH and TOTK. Instead of playing in my own little bubble (or just with friends) it's hard not to look at your own lackluster island with it's neglected farm in the corner and scattered beach furniture, or your barely functioning glider, and then look at a perfectly manicured designer island, or a fully functioning automated Gundam, and wonder what you're doing "wrong". (For peo💧ple like me, anyway. Not everyone is like that obviously!)

Someone recommended Dorfromantik and I second that! Also rougelikes and deckbuilders! The impermanence and repetition are cozy to me because there's so littl🌄e danger of reaching a creative tipping point where free expression turns into main꧒tenance or a chore in any given run.
