One of the big reasons that it fell to a low score so quickly is𒈔 because the conversation was dominated by bad faith.

It takes most players like a🍌 week to beat the MSQ, more if you didn't get into the early access, even more if you're doing side content before finishing th♛e story.

I refuse to believe that ไsomeone leaving a negative review on DAY ONE was somehow able to beat and fairly evaluate the story within 24 hours. Yet there were hundreds of these negative day 1🔴 reviews on both steam and metacritic. These reviews can pretty safely be attributed to people who either skipped all cutscenes and thus don't have a valid opinion of the story, or bigots who wanted to review bomb the game over its inclusion of a trans actress.

we were already seeing seeing signs of this behavior in 6.55 when Wuk Lamat first debuted, and endwalker suddenly got a bunch of negative reviews that totally weren't subconciously🍒 (or entirely conciously) motivated by transphobia or a fragile ego.

A lot of the early DT reviews are the same. Positive reviews trickle in much slower, because if you actually engage with the story, you'll chew on🥃 it longer, meaning that review༒bombers get a big head start on you.

The voice actor isn't confusing anything. A lot of people hate wuk lamat BECAUSE she's voice by a trans woman, and have explicitly attacked her PUBLICALLY on all her po🥃sts, streams, and even on other people's streams.

People who say she𝓡's a bad actor are lying. She proves her chops several times.

There's a couple instances of her delivery being off but those moments are all so clearly the fault of voiꦿce direction and not𒀰 acting.

So much of this🔴 is bad faith criticism and th✃inly veiled bigotry

The abuse Sena has suffered is unforgivable. First of all, it's INSANE to blame a VA 𒉰for any gripes you may have about the story or the character's lines. She's literally just reading lines off of a script (not to mention that people are neglecting the fact that voice actors are explicitly told by a VO director hꦡow they should perform their lines).

It's also🍰 all so blatantly bigoted. Dawntrail received hundreds of negative reviews the MOMENT it launched. Not to mention negative reviews for patch 6.55 where she debuted. No one would drop a ne💟gative review for an FFXIV MSQ on day 1 unless they intend it as harassment. That's extremely unreasonable.

Sena bears no blame for you not liking the msq. She bears no blame for you not liking wuk lamat. She's not solely responsible for any poor delive꧑ries in her performance, as she was being instructed by a d📖irector on how to speak.

This behavior is disgusting and i'm ashamed at how many people in the community have stood idly by or even encouraged thi𓄧s blatant hatred.

Anyone who says they become genuinely upset by simply seeing wuk lamat on screen or hearing her voice are to be ignored. That's such an extreme and unreasonable position 𓂃to take (and very likely subconciously motivated by prejudice)
