Pokemon Go's Gigantamax Announcement Is A Kick In The Teeth For Loyal Players
I am so gutted. I saw that the Kanto starters will be introduced in Gigantamax raids in about 7 days and talked to my son about this exact issue. I got a hundo Dynamax Sobble and have grinded relentlessly for stardust and candy to have 𝓡a Dynamax Inteleon over level 40 and with all Max moves maxed out. I have a decent Venusaur with moves maxed out but am struggling to get candy to level up. Dynamax Metagross is over level 40 with Max attack and level 1 guard and spirit. Dynamax Charizard is the same and sitting around 2550CP.
So any Gigantamax Pokémon I catch - I'll not only only have to do several Max Raids to get a Mon with good IVs but the entry cost will be huge and I won't have any candy or stardust so I'll have to grind for months - if they are still available. It makes my Dyn🐠amax Pokémon practically obsolete and means I've wasted hundreds of candy and an insane amount of stardust while also having to buy Max Particle p✅acks.
How much will upgrading Gigantamax Pokémon cost at 6* when the 3* Beldum and Falinks cost so m🔯uch?
It's such a cynical cash grab from Niantic. I thought what if I had saved up 1000 candy for each and built up a store of a few million stardust waiting for Gigantamax - but theb my son pointed out that we'll need our powerful Dynamax Pokémon to do Gigantamax raids anyway so we're all just screwed with Niantic being the only winner in this situation because they know☂ how loyal their fans are.
Disappoꦚintment aಞfter disappointment... yet here I am, still playing everyday...
