See AllWhat Ha🐽ppens When The Sequel To Your Favourite Game Is Mid?
Hi there!
You're making quite a few assumptions about me here. Firstly, I love these types of games, or at least what they used to be. Dragon Age: Origins is one of my favourite games of all time, and my disappointment in Inquisition is primarily because it's missing the tactical gameplay and interesting exploration of its pr෴edecessor.
The side quests in Origins were meaningful, and I just haven't found any that compare in Inquisition. I'm trying to meaningfully interact with this game, but it's offering me notᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚhing. For what it's worth, I've never been on TikTok and read plenty; the condescension doesn't help your case. Do you really think that watching a YouTube playthrough of major story beats is meaningfully interacting with the game? It seems contradictory to your argument.
At no point do I try to say that this is an objective take - it's very clearly my opinion on the game. I also quote the opinions of others at the site, to see how they coped ꦆwith disappointment as one of their favourite series declines in quality.
I've given this game more than its fair shot, I've put about 50 hours in already (bugs prevent me from being more accurate), and, as I've said, the characters and writing are gr🦩eat. I'd love to see more of that without the rote gameplay in between. I find the combat simplistic and exploring dull - it's just not for me! Personally I don't think that makes me the equivalent of a tech bro, but you're entitled to your opinion as much as I am mine.
Which Novel Would You L❀ike To See Made Int𓆏o A Video Game?
The Broken Earth trilogy by N𒉰. K. Jemisin. Incredibly unique sci-fi/fantasy setting, brilliant magic systems that would work perfectly as mechanics, and it's full of those moral quandaries that make games like Fallout: Newꦑ Vegas tick. In fact, an Obsidian-developed Broken Earth RPG would be excellent.
That or FromSoftware's Children of Hurin.

Hey! I dont mind people disagreeing with me, but I think youve taken this article in bad faith. I have no problem with Melinoe, and in fact this article states that the better parts of Hades 2 at present are its narrative, which revolves around her. I cant promise th🌞is is my top ten games with female protagonists because Ive bound to have forgotten something, but here are ten I love: Celeste Alien: Isolation Transistor Sable Control Alyx Portal Metroid Dread Signalis Oxenfree And as a bonus here ar♔e two from this year that Ive really enjoyed: Indika 1000xResist
