let me say this up front. Dragon Ageꦓ the Veilguard is by no means perfect and it's perfectly fine to say I don't like the game. I don't like every game in the se💖ries either.

I just have to say that the topic of corruption♊ as a disease is not a readcon in my opinion. As you already noted, there is no consistency in this regard.

In fact, it was originally intended that the Origins companions would get the corruption and you would have to heal them. But that was jus🦩t cut out of the game.

And if you complain about Rook and his ꦫteam not getting the♍ corruption, shouldn't you also question the existence of Orzammer?

After all, the dwarves there fight ꦅagainst the dark spawn every day and obviously don't get infected with the corruption.

So in my opinion Veilguard doesn't change anything about the Blight. It just continues a story that was flawed and contradictory from the start. Or how ex꧋actly do you want to explain to me that an incurable infection that can only be slowed down by joining the Grey Wardens can apparently be sanctified by a Mabari or an Eluvian can be cleansed of the Blight, but 🔯there is no cure for the Grey Wardens.
