You really need to replay this game. The story is significantly less boring than any recent assassins creed game and the way you described it was weird. It's not a classic story about honour. The main character abandons his honour so that he can fight more effectively and save his people while his betters look down apon him for his actions. He is the first ninja. That's the whole point of the game... also you may need a reality check if you think ubisoft is going to produce a good story, have you played any recent assassins creed games? They have gone off the deep end with gods and temporarily immortal characters and loads of extra rubbish they don't need. The stories are bogged down and have no overall message to tell. Odyssey being a somewhat decent game was likely a fluke that benefited from a combination of popular setting, time period, and lack of actual assassins. Ghost of tsushima on the other hand is an amazing game and it was criminal that th🦂e last of us two took game of the year from it. While yes the last of us two is a good game it's overall story(revenge is bad) was significantly weaker than ghost of tsushimas. Also there is very little "historical accuracy" in assassin's creed anymore. They really don't care all that much about it. That person may have existed but I'm sure they will secretly be a god and will become immortal or will meet an immortal or who knows what Ubisofts writers will come up with next
