Used game sales have been attacked by big companies forever, because they make no money off used game sales. This was just another attack on used game sales, the disk drive being in very short supply was all part of the plan to force people to go digital. It was a𝕴lso a trial run to see if they could sell a digital only console to see how well it would do and at least now we know that the peripherals required to play on said console will be scalped in the future for God knows how long.
