They should’ve played the original game a few times before creating this game. I’ve been a fan for a decade now and the inconsistencies in the writing and character portrayals were disheartening. It felt like the same story being told with less likable/compelling characters and overall lazy writing in comparison to previous games. Even True Colors has that classic, quirky style that’s present in all LiS games, with the exceptio💙n of this one. I’m also a big Pricefield fan and the portrayal of that relationship (or lack of) was very disappointing to say the least. If they are brave enough to continue Max’s story, then I hope they learn a thing or two from the comics since that series was a brilliant continuation of this story. Next time around, they should lean into giving the fans what they want and what they loved about the original game.
