I would expect it to have good writing, though, as the previous games did. It's not just about graphics: it's about lazy writing and the devs being terrified of engaging with the complex topics their own series set up previously. Just like not every game needs to be GOTY, not every game needs to be mꦕindless escapism, either. And maybe you're okay with lazy writing, but that's a p🐬ersonal failing, not something to be proud of.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mode🅰rn Dragon Age Does Not Deserve Tevinter
It's so weird to me that they white-washed the world-building SO MUCH. No complicated companions with clashing personalities. Everyone who is your friend is nicey-nice and morally upstanding: all your enemies once-note baddies with no complexity. Then to pretend that Tevinter...simply doesn't have slavery? Not even addressing it as a social evil that needs to be abolished, but to simply pretending it doesn't exist and was never part of♏ the world-building? These writers really didn't want to tackle ANY uncomfortable topics or in-world political issues, did they? Isn't this game supposed to be for adults? Is the only "adult" thing about it the nudity? You can't let your adult audience even be slightly uncomfortable while playing a series known for moral complexity and𝕴 dark topics?
The Good, The Bad, (And The Ug💝ly?) Of Dragon Age’s Queerness
It's always gജoing to grate on me that despite Dragon Age's "queer inclusive" standpoint, the devs have made it very clear that they do not𝕴 consider their ace or AroAce fans to be a part of that inclusion.
We are never included on purpose: only ever by accident. There is only "oh you can interpret that character that way, but it wasn't our intent", never "yes, we intended this character to be ace or aroace and viewed that way by the fans". You can "interpret " a character as ace or aroace....but the devs will just give that character a girlfriend to verify their humanity (Cole), or make them a pansexual romance option (Lucanis Dellamorte) later. If it's not canon, it's not really rep, and if that "rep" can eas𒁏ily be taken away or interpreted out of existence...it was never intended.
No rep for you, ace community. Someone else who is mor🦄e important is being pander☂ed to right now!
The ace community has repeatedly asked to have canon rep, only to be told it's "not the time"(corinne busche) or "aces have conflicting ideas about inclusion so we're not going to attempt including them at all"(patrick weekes). There's no hivemind for trans people, or nonbinary people, or bi people...or gay people.... but that hasn't stopped the DA devs from including characters from those groups multiple times across the games, comics and novels. The solution would be to include more than one person from the group being discussed, rather than make one character who is supposed to symbolize an e𒁃ntire community. But while we can have 7 pansexual characters in one game, including even ONE ace npc is too much.
The Ace community has very deliberately been left out of the world of Dragon Age, and the devs know they are leaving us out...they just🀅 don't think we're important enpough to include. And since they're playing lip-service to inclusivity of other people (the LGB and T *only*) no one else in the queer community sees an issue and is okay with continuing to deliberately exclude us.
