No, Dragon Age: The Veilguard Wasn't Snubbed For Game Of The Year
The graphics are fine; but theꦺ art style is diluted Disney. The dialog options are slightly different flavours of the same choice, the lectures on how to think and feel about some people are ludicrous and the way it completely diminishes the supposed main storyline, by going off doing friendship simulator things, is an ins🧸ult to gaming. Nothing to do with full binary, none binary, half binary or tri-binary.... its just a lame husk of what could have been a bold, challenging and deep Dragon Age game. It's a helium balloon slowly losing gas with only one way to go once the gas runs out.

After many hours, I can't play any further. The dialog options are slightly different flavours of the same choice, the lectures on how to think and feel about some people are ludicrous and the way it completely diminishes the supposed main storyline, by going off doing friendship simulator things, is an insult to gaming. The writers and devs should have been given a new IP to work on, a mobile game, with all the friendship and social si💟mulation they like....rather than hamfisting it into a 'classic fantasy' setting. It's so so weird.

Dragon's Dogma earned every mark....Veilgard's score is highly dubious and incongruent with what the real world experienced... the melodramatic pumped up reviews giving it near 10/10ꩵ, stating how 'important' and 'vital' the game is, reek of bad faith manipulation. EG claiming it pushes the RPG genre further forward than any other game in 2020's is just criminally deceitful.

You're only 'upset' if y💞ou're not actually a gamer. It's the worst entry in the Dragon Age series, to a damaging extent, and an obvious vehicle for messaging disguisꦑed as a friendship simulator that's as deep as a puddle.
