You can also add to the fact the franchise is the exact same game every time for the last 15 years with very little innovation or effort put into the maps or gameplay. It's a one trick pony, so is battlefield. Campaigns story when there is one is low effort trash. It would be best to let the franchise die for 3-4 years and keep the latest iteration running and running well♒ with some good map packs as DLC while time is taken to produce an actual good COD game if at all.
