This isn't surprising. Oblivion looks great, but the gameplay is lacking. Combat feels ol♛d, and the world is less exciting to explore. I'm sure that in time, the modding community will find a way to🌳 draw people back in, but for now, there's no comparison. Skyrim is a far more appealing game. And to the "you only like modded Skyrim" folks... Shut it. That's the whole point. Skyrim was a great game for it's time. Mods just make it that much better.

These are the same people that pre-order a game three mo♕nths early and then complain that it isn't finished when they boot it up. It's a lack of self control. Skyrim doesn't force you to use the smithing feature and forego hunting for powerful gear throughout the world. In fact, Skyrim is so densely packed with unique and interesting locations, it's hard to do anything without getting sidetracked and immersed in something new and exciting. More options is usually the better route to go. I hope Elder Scrolls VI expands upon all of the options that Skyrim had, along with adding back some of those features that weren't carri♓ed over from Oblivion into Skyrim.
