Split Fiction W♉orks Because No🤪body Actually Thinks Like The Main Characters
I think the premise is intentionally contrived and overwrought early on to facilitate the meeting🦹 of these two specific characters. They're not meant to be examples of common, everyday folk.
Also, you came SO CLOSE to the actual te🌌rm for Star Wars, "Science♓ Fantasy." I didn't make that up.
