"It's Just A Flea Bite": Oblivion Remastered Players Are Learning The Hard Way That You Can't Be A Stealth Archer Like In Skyrim
@J:
The higher difficulty in this case is not how the devs designed it. This is a reverse engineered remaster rushed for a shadow drop, and the higher difficulty was a 5 minute meeting of "how can we make sure modern power gamers don't trash it o꧟nline? Bigger numbers across the board? Sounds good."
"Wait, Oblivion Is Better Than Skyrim?": The Elder Scrolls Fans Are 🐎Finally Seeing The Truth Thanks To Oblivion Remastered
First off don't knock Redg🅠uard, that fencing system w🎐as great.
This article made me re-evaluate my opinion in the opposite direction. I was Oblivion>Skyrim mainly because I played lots of Oblivion sooner, I discovered modding on Oblivion, and I liked the broad pan-cultural scope of Cyrodil more than the rural Nord-Centric vibe in Sky-Rim. But I was never impressed with the results of the supposedly sophisticated Oblivion NPC behavior. It usually just feels like robots on rails. And I like my fantasy games to take their stories seriously and allow me to believe. This meme-addled gamer culture's discomfort with s๊incerity stinks of stunted teenage insecurity. In retrospect, moment to moment the characters in Skyrim are just better than the ones in Oblivion. Both are great games though.
Oblivion Remastered's Horse Armour DLC Isn't The Cute Joke Bethesda Thinks It Is
I mean... I agree but it's still a funny joke.
"Oblivion Without Wes Johnson Is Not Oblivion": Elder Scrolls Fans Hope The Remওaster Uses The Original Voice Lines
There's nothing more vile or stifling than a self-professed "fan" who insists that something they've never seen be limited by their own lack of imagination. Oblivion was a wonderful game with sufficiently goℱod voice-acting that was a solid continuation down the ambitious path of the most important series in open world gaming... But like Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Skyrim, it was limited by budgets, development timetables, and the technology of it's vintage year. Much of the game felt unfinished and hastily populated by copy-paste. This was hardest to ignore when interacting with its hundreds of NPCs who seemed to be voiced by less than a dozen actors. The first place any🎉 remaster should start is by massively overhauling everything about this game's NPCs to create a world of individuals instead of creepy clones.
Fenris Probably Won't Appear In Future Dragon Age Games Because Of His Tattoos
I haven't played the DA Frಞanchise since the first one so maybe I'm missing some♈thing... But if you can't easily manage tattoos on a character model in the year of our lord 2024, what are you doing in the game industry?
Mass Effect: Andromeda Pushback Wasn't "Unfair", Says BioWare Lead
I think it was mainly just because they broke with the format a little and the old characters. Andromeda was the only MA I ever played 💙and I think it rocked. If I was nostalgic about the other games though I may have had the s🐻ame reaction. I can be petty about that sort of thing myself.
