So, 3 of the 8 "hidden" plotlines are the companion romances that they 💧wrote and are oh so terribly proud of that they spent෴ so much time working on that it prevented your Rook from having a real, satisfying romance?

Slightly missed the mark? I'm sorry, but we spent 3 games dealing with varying levels of amazingly written (to mid, I'm looking at you Seﷺbastian 🦩Vael) and complex romances, funny and poignant character banter, and relevant and lore heavy treatment of characters based on what they're now calling legacy instead of race or species, to a game where the "cut scene" when you give a companion a gift is just over 2 seconds long, we can't even speak to them unless it's for them to ask for something, and NO ONE seems angry with elves even though it's THEIR deities that are wreaking havoc on the world, no acknowledgement of it, even in effing Minrathous where elves have been enslaved for centuries. And from what I've read the romances feel hollow because they're supposed to be falling in love with each other instead of Room? Slightly missed the mark is an understatement.
