I'm fine with MS wasting a bunch of money to buy off Atlus for this game, but yeah, it will probably hurt the overall sales, because people don't buy Jrpgs on Xbox. If you're a Jrpg fan, you may own Xbox as a second console (seems redundant, personally, if you already own a PS5, but whatever), but everyone knows you go to playstation for the genre, it's been that way for decades, and since the inception of Xbox, this perception has only solidified. Hopefully it doesn't hurt the sales much, but it will hurt the sales, of course, fo🦹r the aforementioned reason. Fingers crossed that the impact ends up being negligible duﷺe to word of mouth.
