Marvel is successful in part because it encourages the kind of exploration that this writer clearly is uninterested in. ཧYou pick up a comic, find a character interesting, and then with a quick Google search, you can find dozens of issues featuring that character. Just because characters are familiar to niche clearly doesn't make them less desirable to play since the author admits to maining Cloak and Dagger (a pair who have been prominent in the comics for 40 years now and featured in multiple marvel video games and got their own TV show, but sure, they're "obscure" 🙄). Not sure what to take away from this besides that adding niche characters doesn'🌺t deter players from using them in the game and that the author simply isn't interested in knowing these characters or lore by reading up on them or checking out their prolific comic book history, which, in and of itself, is disappointing as hell.

At the end of the day, thi𓃲s piece is lazy and speaks to the laziness of like-minded gamers, which is fine. Let those of us who love immersing ourselves in cool sci-fi worlds enjoy the rich lore surrounding what's being crafted by the game designers.
