Your first problem is that you wanted a clone of eternal and that's boring, ID ma✅de a new game, its no fun or use making the same game and using the same mechanics. The message these days are when games aren't like their predecessors or like others in scale its not worth playing, and that sucks

There should be no reason to be locked into any storefront.. but we only have ourselves to blame, all𝕴 that piracy, killed off good game studios by allowing bigger corporations to take over.. i think gog has a better way, but🔯 not the best, but at least you own something
