I never minded the sameness. It started to feel like a rhythm. The first time I popped 🌠through a gate in 2006 it was kinda scary𝐆 and I wasn't sure what to anticipate, however as you keep jumping in your confidence increases and that felt good. The only thing I don't like about the gates it that they impact the flow of my adventuring when I'm doing other quests. They're not pretty with the landscape. They make it rain, and I don't enjoy the stormy esthetic. I typically wait a long time to get into that quest line so I can enjoy the view of the world without them. Cause it's also not a great decision to close them too fast.

I played oblivion in 2006 and now a🌊nd honestly I never noticed auto scaling the first time. I never gave it a second thought. It felt fairly smooth to me then and smooth to me now. Oblivion (in my opinion) gets easier as you level anyway.
